Mission Statement

The Rocky Mountain Society of Botanical Artists is an open and diverse group of artists, collectors and admirers who share a love for the practice and perpetuation of botanical art and illustration with a fond focus on plants in the Rocky Mountain Region.
We encourage and participate in educational outreach, juried and non-juried exhibits, lectures, workshops and regular chapter meetings. The RMSBA is proud to be the very first chapter affiliation of the international organization, the American Society of Botanical Artists.

Stock Show Opens

Deadline Looms! Renew your membership by January 16, 2016! Don’t forget to add the $10 for RMSBA, and to check the box for our Chapter. At the end of this month, members who haven’t renewed will lose access to gallery pages or teacher listings displayed online, and access to the ASBA journal online, until dues are paid. Don’t risk not getting the Journal in the mail.

Artists in August at LOWRY! Revised Artist Sign-up

RMSBA encourages members to participate in local artistic events, of course, so check out this announcement for a show this summer, information made available by Mary Clark. The Lowry Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization committed to enhancing the public spaces through programs of artistic, cultural, educational, historical, recreational and scientific value.

       August 27, 2016 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum
7711 East Academy Blvd, Denver, CO 80230

Some RMSBA members might want to show/sell art here. It may seem like a long way off, but interested folks should apply to reserve a spot. All artists 18 years and older are welcome to apply, especially artists with any connection to the Lowry community, whether residing or working within the boundaries of Lowry or any former service personnel who served at Lowry to apply.

Details available here on the Blog under Exhibits.
