Mission Statement

The Rocky Mountain Society of Botanical Artists is an open and diverse group of artists, collectors and admirers who share a love for the practice and perpetuation of botanical art and illustration with a fond focus on plants in the Rocky Mountain Region.
We encourage and participate in educational outreach, juried and non-juried exhibits, lectures, workshops and regular chapter meetings. The RMSBA is proud to be the very first chapter affiliation of the international organization, the American Society of Botanical Artists.

It’s Still Winter, but Here Come Early Buds

Artists in Residence at Cherokee Ranch are noticing a few things during their visits. Here we see a bobcat and she sure looks preggers to me! More bobcats coming soon to CRC. Be sure to sign up for your turn at the CRC website.

Artistic Coincidence. On March 18 Tam O’Neill is hosting a reception at her gallery (Tam O’Neill Fine Arts, 311 Detroit, Denver) featuring original Karl Blossfeldt botanical photos. The March ASBA Journal just featured him in the inside back cover!

Mo’Prints in Denver. Three of our members RMSBA members (Carol Till, Susan Fisher, and Vanessa Martin) are showing at the Art Students League's Regional Pressing Matters exhibit, juried by the prestigious Master Printer, Bud Shark. Reception Saturday, March 12, at 5:30.

Carol is on the Mo'Print Committee and is very excited to see intersections between botanical art and printmaking
