Mission Statement

The Rocky Mountain Society of Botanical Artists is an open and diverse group of artists, collectors and admirers who share a love for the practice and perpetuation of botanical art and illustration with a fond focus on plants in the Rocky Mountain Region.
We encourage and participate in educational outreach, juried and non-juried exhibits, lectures, workshops and regular chapter meetings. The RMSBA is proud to be the very first chapter affiliation of the international organization, the American Society of Botanical Artists.

Member Show Call for Entries. The Rocky Mountain Wild! exhibit for RMSBA members only  this fall is open for entries at Online Juried Shows. Enjoy a summer trip through our lovely mountains and parks gathering mid-season sketches and photos, and refine your drawing of your chosen Colorado wildflower for this show. This year's exhibit deadline is September 10, so now is the time to head out into the field and get going on your illustrations!

Rocky Mountain Wild! opens this September 20 at the Visitor Center at the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, Colorado. RMSBA anticipates multiple venues for this show; pieces must remain with the exhibit venue(s) until the official closing.

 


ON-LINE Member Meeting! Tuesday July 6, 6 pm MDT, via ZOOM. Susan Fisher will host and moderate; the access link will appear in your email. We will discuss this fall's RMSBA member show [see above]. We also will be discussing the plant list for an exciting upcoming multi-year project. We hope you can join us. Have ready any topic you want to add to the agenda.
