Mission Statement

The Rocky Mountain Society of Botanical Artists is an open and diverse group of artists, collectors and admirers who share a love for the practice and perpetuation of botanical art and illustration with a fond focus on plants in the Rocky Mountain Region.
We encourage and participate in educational outreach, juried and non-juried exhibits, lectures, workshops and regular chapter meetings. The RMSBA is proud to be the very first chapter affiliation of the international organization, the American Society of Botanical Artists.

RMSBA Board Meeting
. Directors contemplated our future and our need for more minds and hands to do the many tasks we face to git’em done. We attempted to break up the workload into smaller packets, many of which can be done “remotely.” We expect to be making a list, checking it twice, and trying for outcomes at the Holiday Party December 5 at Carol Till’s place. Please consider the prospects mentioned in the Presidential Letter you all received via MailChimp, and provide your input, via email or direct participation.

ASBA Annual Conference ONLINE October 13-17, 2021. Your Editor signed up for the Juror Training, and learned lots about process and not enough about images and botanical accuracy and initial impact. Maybe next time…
